When are new members able to sign up for the PetBiz Collaborative?
Registration is currently open for new PBC members to start January 1, 2024. Join today for just $19/month.
Is the PetBiz Collaborative for pet bloggers or businesses?
BOTH! We view bloggers and writers as business owners that sell the service of content creation. While we appreciate the differences between each type of business, we also believe there are many similarities we can all learn from and that long-form written content is a core component to growing, no matter whether you sell a product or service. All pet-related small businesses who prioritize creating captivating blog content are welcome in the PetBiz Collaborative.
How long do I have to commit to being an PBC member?
We are looking to bring together a group who is committed to long-term growth, and we hope you see your membership as a long-term commitment. However, monthly membership will automatically renew on the same day each month, and you can cancel at any time. All memberships are non-refundable and if you rejoin at a later date, it will be at the rate for current membership at that time.
What if I want to wait to join?
No problem. You are welcome to wait until the time is right for you. There may be different benefits, offers, and/or prices in the future. We do not carry over offers or rates.
What is the time commitment?
The AMA livestreams and monthly co-working hours will be about an hour each week. These events are not mandatory, however, they are your opportunity to leverage the knowledge and expertise of the BlogPaws Team and the support of your fellow PBC members. Our best estimate is that it’s anywhere from 4-6 hours per month, depending on much you engage with other Collaborators.
Are there any scheduled times I need to be available to participate?
AMA Livestreams are always available no matter your schedule or time zone. We have members from all over the world and always encourage members to go back when they can and watch the replay of any videos they may have missed. If you have questions and know you will be unable to attend an AMA, you can leave the questions in the event space. If new questions arise when you revisit a topic, we will gladly go back with you to help get those questions answered.
However, we do have two events at set times. We hold an Ask Me Anything (AMA) livestream in the Circle community each week (except the last week of each month) on Wednesdays at 2 pm ET. AMAs will run for up to 1 hour depending on the questions asked.
Co-Working Hours take place on Zoom on the last Wednesday of each month from 6-7 pm ET.
What is an AMA Livestream?
AMA Livestreams are Q&A sessions tailored to your challenges creating content for your target audience.
AMA Livestreams are your weekly support to:
- Get your burning questions about running an online pet business answered by the BlogPaws Team.
- Learn from the diverse array of questions posed by fellow Collaborators.
- Help hold you accountable to work on your pet business while getting motivation to take action.
- Be in a room where everyone “gets it”. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who understand the unique challenges of creating pet-focused content and sharing it with the world.
- Share your passion. Build life-long relationships with those who share your passion.
Can’t make it live? No worries! You are able to post questions for us to answer live beforehand, and all AMA sessions are recorded and available for on-demand viewing.
What are Co-Working Hours?
Similar to in-person co-working spaces, our monthly co-working hours are an opportunity to come together with other bloggers and small pet business owners to work “together” and motivate each other in a virtual space (Zoom).
You get to choose the task and we’ll provide the accountability and check-ins for you to get that task done. Think of it like going to the library with a group of friends to study.
Co-Working Hours involve:
- A BlogPaws Team member will host the space and use a timer to give you a set amount of time to focus. We’ll also check in with you throughout the hour to see if you are making progress. It’s accountability at its finest.
- You will work independently, but alongside a group of Collaborators who are working on their business at the same time. Sometimes we work best when we are working alongside others who are also focused on growing their businesses.
- Encouragement and support in a virtual environment.
- The hour will close with you able to share what you accomplished and/or what’s left to do and when you will finish. Back to that accountability thing.
What if I fall behind or miss a week?
The magic of AMAs and Co-Working Hours is that you can’t fall behind! You can ask questions about exactly what you need and work on the task that will propel your business forward the most.
It’s completely up to you if you want to participate each week, but if we notice you haven’t been active for a while, we might send you a message to check in.
How many people will be in the Collaborative?
7,391. Just kidding. We are not sure yet because we don’t have a cap. We won’t allow the group to grow to an unmanageable size, but it’s hard to say where we’ll be as memberships renew and new members join.
I work for a larger pet business, can I join?
The group will be designed to help those pet professionals who are in business for themselves or working with a partner. If you are an employee of a larger company, you may not have the ability to implement all the ideas you would learn as a member of the PetBiz Collaborative. But we know there is no one size fits all, so if you work for a company with more than 5 employees or $1m in revenue and you are still interested in joining the PetBiz Collaborative, email us and we can chat.
